Join us for cross-country skiing at Lookout Pass on the Idaho and Montana border.
This event includes a ski trip down the Montana side of Lookout Pass on Saturday, March 14th. The ski is along the old Northern Pacific Rail Grade from the Lookout Pass parking lot to Taft. This is a 9.25 mile (14.8 km) ski all downhill (at a slight grade) on a snow surface regularly groomed for snow machines (no ski tracks). This would not be a new beginner ski outing. You will want to bring water and a light snack for the trip.
We will meet at 8 AM at the CDA Cherry Hill Parking Lot for the trip up to Lookout Pass. The activity will take nearly all day. Some cars will be shuttled down to Taft to ferry drivers back up to the pass after the ski. Typically, we end the day by stopping at a restaurant in Wallace for a late lunch.
